My name is Karin and I am looking for work as a full time nanny or date-night babysitter. I am reliable, thoughtful and creative and would love to work for a family with these qualities as well. I will be returning to the Portland, Maine area at the beginning of August 2017 after 9 months spent teaching in Japan. I worked at an English immersion school teaching students from ages 2 to 12. My favorite classes have been the toddlers and my pre-K class, so I would love to work with children ages 2-7!
When I was little, I enjoyed reading, dress-up, and make believe and playing games (board and outside) as well as biking and swimming (although growing up in the Midwest, it was mainly pools and the occasional lake-no ocean swims). I'd love to hang out with kids who are into those things! As a 28-year-old, I also enjoy cooking and I would be glad to help out with homework. I have lived with both cats and dogs, and I am fine with them.
