I own two dogs.  They are my constant companions.  I have owned a dog most of my life.  When I do go away I understand that a pet owner would prefer that their pets stay home in their own environment. So that is why I ask my family members to pitch if I am gone for a long period of time.

Additionally, I have been a volunteer in an animal shelter.
In most families dogs are part of the family and if they could speak they would say take me with you. But, as we know that can't always happen.

My daughters also have dogs and a cat. So when I help them out I am also pet-sitting.

I have no special training. I just love dogs and cats.
