I have owned all sorts of pets, growing up we had a dog and I was the head caretaker of Kody, our alaskan Malamute. When I was 11, I wrote a 13 page paper on hamsters so my parents would let me have one. I have lived with roommates who have had cats that I've taken care of. In my biology program in high school, I was the go-to person to take class pets home for holidays and I brought home everything from snakes to baby chicks to chinchillas. The chinchillas were a gift from our school, and we went from having two to twelve! In college, my roommate had a dog that we all loved dearly, and after college, a friend had a rat that had babies, so I ended up with two pet rats. I moved to chicago a year after my rats died and found myself craving another pet. A friend had baby guinea pigs and so I adopted one of the guinea pigs. I am a comedian and science lover in Chicago, and I love pets!
