To put it quite simply, I love animals. I have always had animals as part of my life. From hamsters, to parrots, to dogs, cats, reptiles and exotic pets, my life has been engulfed in taking care of animals. When I was 13 years old, I volunteered at a horse farm, working whenever possible to help out at the farm on the weekends. From there, my passion for working with animals grew. My first job was at Pet shop, and I worked there for 13 years. I was everything from a cashier, to a companion animal specialist and department manager. I started volunteering at an animal hospital in high school, and I ended up becoming employed there and working there for 8 years until the business was sold. I am familiar with administering medications, IV fluids, giving pills, etc. I gave it a try at a veterinary technology school, but due to the fact I was working full-time, part-time and going to school full-time, studies were hard to keep up with. While in vet tech school, I raised 2 piglets from birth and it was an extremely rewarding experience! I also rescued and hand raised a baby squirrel, as well as several other animals. I volunteer at an animal sanctuary when I get a chance every year. The rescue has over 400 dogs and 100 cats, cows, horses and chickens.
I currently am a pet-sitter for 3 large dogs. My services include feeding/watering, cleanup, playtime, grooming, and in the time I am there, I also offer to provide services for housekeeping. I have also boarded dogs from my home, and I have been a dog walker for some time as well. I also have my older sister as my work companion-- if I am unable to provide service on a certain day, my sister steps in as the backup caregiver. My clients have enjoyed the fact that I have my own assistant, as it makes it easier for them in the long-run, as they aren't stuck with having to seek their own last minute care.
I offer many services such as walking, check-ins and visits, overnight and daily petcare from my home, or whatever you may need assistance with. My pricing varies from location, breed, number of pets, so please message me for pricing.
