We found Laura on Sittercity in 2009, and she cared for our daughter two days a week for nearly two years (until I left my job in June 2011). I can't say enough good things about her! Our daughter loves her and thoroughly enjoyed all of the time they spent together. Laura was always flexible and incredibly reliable and trustworthy. She helped to manage our hectic household and kept our daughter very busy with lots of age-appropriate activities.

Laura has been our 3-day-a-week nanny for 9 months, and I would highly recommend her to anyone (she came highly recommended to us and we now know why). Our toddler daughter adores her, and Laura has exceeded all of our expectations. Laura is warm, nurturing, energetic and attentive, and she focuses on teaching our daughter and encouraging her development. Laura also takes great care in exposing our daughter to diverse, age-appropriate experiences while keeping her safety in mind (and thinking like a mother). Laura has been ideal for a set of working parents, in that she is flexible if there are extensions of her hours or a need to take on extra days. As an added bonus, Laura is very thoughtful about helping to keep our home clean, is willing to run regular and special errands, and often will surprise us with dinner waiting or a helpful project completed when we get home. Laura has an upbeat and positive personality, communicates well, is an easy person to interact with on a daily basis, and is full of smiles, laughter and genuine care around children. We feel extremely lucky to have found Laura.
