I’ve always been a big animal lover and first started working with pets since I was 7 years old. That’s when I had my first dog that was my responsibility to take care of myself. Since then I’ve taken care of many other animals such as cats, Guinea pigs, and many other dogs. About a year ago I adopted a dog from the Joplin Humane Society. He was formerly abused, and extremely malnourished from his former owners. He used to have very bad anxiety, and did not trust humans. But over the past year, I was able to turn all of that around. He now knows he has his forever home, and he loves and trusts humans now. In the future I hope I can do the same thing for many other animals from animal shelters.
