I'm a devoted animal lover who will care for your pets as if they were my own. In addition to 10+ years as a pet sitter, I've worked in a vet hospital and done lots of animal rescue work. And, of course, I've always had animals of my own. I've walked young, rambunctious Labs, and helped elderly dogs up and down the stairs. I'm experienced with both big dogs and little dogs. I adore cats, and will take the time to care for your kitties in the way that works for them. Whether that means refilling food and water, cleaning the litter box, and leaving them alone, or hanging out with them and giving attention on their terms, by playing, cuddling, or just sitting in the same room reading a book and letting them approach me. I consider myself something of a cat whisperer!

I've cared for animals with a variety of health issues, and feel comfortable administering medicine in a variety of forms. I also have experience with birds, fish, chinchillas and more. I love all living creatures.

I take care not to overbook, so I'm not hurried when pet sitting. It's important to me to have enough time to make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and have everything they need, and to leave your home looking even better than when you left!

My husband Henry and I both work as pet sitters, and between the two of us, can handle lots of different kinds of scenarios:

* The majority of our business is in the form of visits to our clients' homes. We charge $15 for a 30 min. visit within our hometown of Greenfield; $20/visit if the job is bigger (i.e. walking multiple big dogs) or further afield. A visit lasts at least 30 minutes, sometimes more, depending upon your needs. House sitting duties such as bringing in the mail and watering plants are included. We do charge a small holiday surcharge of $5/visit on major holidays.

*We invite animals into our home for in-home boarding if the fit is right (only one dog at a time unless from the same family). We have a 60 lb. Border Collie mix named Baxter who loves having doggie friends come visit, and an indoor tabby cat named Simon who is used to dogs.

*Occasionally, I'm able to stay overnight in a client's home, but this is the smallest part of our business. Since I'm a grown-up with a house, family, and pets of my own, it's not always easy for me to stay at a client's home for an overnight stay. However, it sometimes works out if it's the right fit.
