I can't say that I have had formal animal training such as veterinary or obedience school, but I have had pets in my family my whole life, including 3 dogs (of different personalities), 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 2 parakeets.
I am a friendly person and hate the abuse of animals. At worst I would probably spoil them a little. But I would abide by the rules of an animal's owner.
