I began assisting my neighbor with her huskies as a mother's helper at 12.
That turned me into watching them during vacation from 16 to 26. There were even 3 at one time!
I would walk them, clean the yard, follow feeding, keeping the water bowled filled, treats, and medicine and last but not least play time!
Because of their experience I was able to watch my uncle's shihtzu for weeks at a time in my own home. She has a particular way of being and schedule.
Another neighbor had asked me twice to stay their home for a couple weeks two watch their two small dogs while traveling in Italy.
