After recently finding out that my youngest cat had diabetes, I was panicked about leaving her for five days; however, Lisa was great, kind, knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. Lisa went above and beyond minimum pet care: she began checking on them twice a day because she could tell Mango, my diabetic kitty, wasn't doing so well; she cleaned the litter boxes everyday, not just the two I had required; she stayed and played with them when she didn't have to; she did laundry and washed dishes all of which was not required and is indicative of what a kind and caring person she is. I can't tell you how relieved I was to come home and see how happy my cats were. Also, she was so kind to leave a detailed account of how they were each day I was gone. As every pet owner knows, leaving pets in the care of strangers can be very stressful; however, Lisa was perfect, and I hope to use her in the future. It's an awesome feeling to find someone you feel comfortable with. When I have to leave town it will be a relief to know that Mango, Melon, and Roxy are so well taken care of.

WHAT??! Only five stars available?! Honestly, Lisa did not meet our expectations...she exceeded them! We were going on vacation on a cruise out of the country and needed someone to care for our 10 year old lab mix Zelda. We also needed someone to feed the fish and take in our mail and water the plants. When we got home we found out she had stayed overnight for 4 nights due to a heat advisory. We had told her she might need to stay overnight but for a completely different reason. So I was pleased to hear she had done that even though it wasn't necessary seeing we have a working AC unit. She also had to deal with Zelda coming down with an unexpected ear infection. Lisa managed to tend to the ear so Zelda didn't need to go to the vet and seemed well when we returned. Lisa also brushed her (probably even more than we do) and bathed her. I was amazed at how little fur I could get off her when I came home. Lisa also vacuumed the carpet (as I asked her to) and did some laundry. She left copious notes about what happened while we were away. She was also careful to walk Zelda during the appropriate times of the day (late nights and even one "crack of dawn" walk) during the heat wave and even took her to the park once. Two or three of these walks were quite long (an hour to an hour and a half). All of this and I required her to come by three times a day for an hour and a half to three hours per visit despite her living 14 miles from my house. I can definitely say that Zelda was well cared for (and that Lisa has a way with dogs) by the way she responded to us when we returned from the trip. I was expecting her to respond with her usual exuberant spastic greeting. After all that is the way she greets us at my mom's (usual sitter) and from the kennel. What greeted us was a calm, submissive, well mannered girl. It was obvious she had had all her needs met while we were away. If you need a pet sitter she is worth more than every penny she charges.
