Hi there! My name is Lauren, and I am humongous dog-lover! I have owned and cared for dogs my whole life and am described by my friends as an "animal whisperer" due to the fact that dogs and other domesticated animals tend to flock to me. I did have a dog myself until recently; sadly, he passed away from old age in September. I am comfortable with dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds, and I have animal shelter volunteer experience from college. I am comfortable with senior dogs, puppies, disabled dogs, dogs who need medication, shy dogs, energetic dogs, and other animals as well, including cats, turtles and fish.

Our late dog, Chief, was an abused pit-mix rescue and had many trust issues, along with odd behaviors and habits. After dozens of hours of research, along with professional training with Bark Busters, Chief made huge progressions in his life and overcame nearly all of his anxious behaviors. Thus, I am also knowledgeable of dog training tactics that are actually effective for "troubled dogs" like my own, and am comfortable using these learned tactics with other dogs. However, it is important to note that I am NOT trained by, certified with, or a part of the Bark Busters company or program in any way, shape, or form.

Outside of my personal life and the care of my own pets over the years, most, but not all, of my professional pet-sitting experience has been included with my extensive household management and nanny experience. My paid duties have included dog walking (up to one hour), playing, feeding, bathing, crating, trips to the dog park, enforcing the owner's current training techniques, and more.
