Having raised 3 boys, I understand the need for having dogs and cats in your life. We always had at least a dog, and usually each boy had his own pet to manage and care for. The boys have been out on their own for years, but I had companions of my own. The last one, Miss Ripley, was a mixed breed from the animal shelter, who was my biggest fan for 13 years until she passed quietly in 2013. The apartment I am renting now does not allow pets, so I have lots of love to share with yours.
