All of my life I have had dogs, sometimes as many as 3 or 4 at a time. Within the past 6 years my 15 year old Labrador and 13 year old Dalmatian died after long, debilitating/degenerative diseases that required a great deal of in-home medical attention including: special diets, monthly injections, administering medications, wound care, and assistance with both walking and going to the bathroom. I mention this only to let you know that I am very experienced and well-versed when it comes to the special needs some pets may require.
For the first time in 38 years I am living in a home devoid of any furry companions and it is difficult. To me, a house isn't a home without a beloved pet(s) to share it with. However, I am still mourning this loss and don't feel ready to commit to another pet(s) on a permanent basis. That is why I am interested in providing daycare or overnight boarding to your beloved companions in my home (although I would also consider coming to your place as well).
My home is on one level which is certainly an advantage for senior dogs or others with mobility issues (arthritis, degenerative myelopathy,e.g.). I have a very large, wooded fenced-in backyard for your dog(s) to romp, play and go to the bathroom in. This does not mean, however, that your dog(s) would only be outdoors while in my care as they will be treated as if they were my own, and will have full access to the entirety of my house and will be let outside to play and go to the bathroom as they need or want.
I also am willing and able to provide additional services such as: feeding special diets, administering pills, applying eye and ear drops, etc. These are the type of things that other daycare and boarding facilities often charge additional fees for but I would not. In addition, I am currently planning on caring for only one family's pet(s) at a time, thus providing completely individualized TLC and attention.
