Hi, my name is Denise and I have previous experience with dog/pet sitting. I used to work for a local pet sitting company here in Wilmington. I am also Red Cross certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I have owned dogs, cats and even horses over many years, all of them rescues. I believe that Dogs (and animals in general) are REALLY Man's and Woman's best friend. I believe in positive reinforcement for training and NOT physical correction. I have a trusted, long time relationship with a local veterinarian that is only 3 miles from me. I have also volunteered for S.A.D.D. - Saving Animals During Disasters for over four years now. Additionally, I worked for a veterinarian many years ago in Florida. I was also a member of 4-H as a teenager. Please Note: My rate is negotiable as each job will require varying hours and needs so I have "NO FLAT RATE" listed but I DO charge for my service. This site insisted I put a rate of some kind or would not let me progress in the set up of my profile. I charge based on the need, dog and time but I can assure you, my rates are reasonable considering the type of care I can provide.

My own beloved pup passed in December and I thought dog sitting part time might be a nice way to get my "furry time" in with our four legged friends until we are ready to "rescue" again .
