Jami C. Pet Care Provider in Winston Salem, NC 27103

I currently live in Ardmore, close to downtown Winston-Salem, with my husband and 2 adult cats - Maezi & IO.
While I live a fairly suburban life, I was raised on a 350 acre tobacco farm, in Davidson county, where I learned to care for numerous farm animals.
My grandfather also worked occasional shifts at the animal shelter, and would often times bring home dogs that were unclaimed and in danger of being euthanized. So at any given time, I was surrounded by 20-50 dogs at a time, who had free reign over the farm. I have also adopted or fostered cockatiels, small lizards, and an iguana.
I have experience with dogs, cats, goats, cows, horses, chickens, pigs, captive birds, lizards, snakes, amphibians, fish, rabbits, small critters like hamsters/ferrets/etc...and believe it or not opossums & raccoons (not that those are generally requested for care, lol.)
In fact, I can't think of any animals that I don't like - although Tasmanian devils and honey badgers seem as though they aren't particularly agreeable, but I'd give it a try. ;)

In complete transparency, most of my experience comes from life experience and from pet sitting for friends, there are few instances in which I've been paid for these services. However, I feel that this is something I'm more than qualified and competent to do, so why not offer it to my community?

My schedule is generally flexible. I mostly work for myself, as a licensed massage therapist and as an aerial yoga instructor. ( I also have a 10+ year background in Reiki & energy work, which I find most animals LOVE!)
For the next few months, the only days in which my flexibility is more limited is on Wednesdays, and Sundays; but that may be changing during the Summer. I have my own transportation - a truck/SUV combo; half city, half country. Just saying - playing in the dirt & farm animals are not a problem for me.

By nature of my profession, I tend to be very nurturing, gentle, and generally adept at making most animals and people feel very comfortable and safe. I would say that that is one of my greatest assets and I enjoy doing so.
