I’ve always had a deep love and respect for animals. There’s something incredibly rewarding about caring for them, building trust, and seeing their unique personalities shine. Whether it’s a playful dog, a curious hamster, or a gentle chicken, I enjoy making sure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared for. Working with animals doesn’t feel like work to me—it’s something I genuinely love and look forward to every day.
I’ve had the joy of caring for a variety of animals throughout my life. I’ve raised three Labrador Retrievers—including caring for two at once—and fostered dogs from tough backgrounds, helping them adjust, heal, and find loving homes. I’ve also cared for small mammals like hamsters and guinea pigs, all of whom lived long, healthy lives under my care. In addition, I’ve raised four chickens and looked after fish, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and their unique needs.
My experience has taught me valuable skills in daily animal care, basic obedience training, socialization, and creating safe, enriching environments. Fostering dogs from challenging situations helped me develop patience, empathy, and the ability to read and respond to an animal’s behavior and emotional needs. I’ve also managed multiple pets at once and handled everything from feeding and grooming to playtime and behavioral support. While I haven’t had formal training, my lifelong hands-on experience has made me a confident, responsible, and compassionate caregiver.
