When we first met Shannon she was very polite and great with our son. We interviewed her and told her we would need her every Thursday for about 2 1/2 months she agreed so we hired her on. I told her then that at anytime something came up or she had to stop working for us to just let us know and we would be perfectly fine with it. The first 2 weeks went well then the 3rd week she didn't show up. She was supposed to be at the house at 8:45. She couldn't get to a phone to contact me till 10:30 which she explained she had an emergency. My husband and I let it go because we understand things happen. After that she showed up 3 times about 10-15 min late which would then cause me to be late for work. I let it go because I understand you can't control traffic. Ever since the emergency I would text her the night before just to confirm she was still coming in the morning. Eventually she just stopped answering my texts or calls and didn't show up. I waited about a week to hear from her and hoped nothing bad had happened. We never heard from her again. We were very disappointed because all we ask is if something comes up or if you have to quit just let us know, but being left in the dark and without any backup was awful. I don't think we expect much- show up on time, do your job and if you can't make it just let us know.
