I have always had dogs, who all have lived to be over 14 years. They have always been treated like members of the family and are allowed everywhere in our home. They sleep in our beds at night.
I know crating pets has become "The Thing To Do" in caring for one's pet. I personally do not believe in that. Our pets have their own personal space in our home if they want it, which is usually their comfy beds. Their toys are everywhere.
I am aware of the fact that there really is NOT a healthy kibble on the market, so I cook our dog's food everyday...which he loves. I use homeopathic remedies and herbs for our pets, which I have researched.
I have experience with caring for senior pets, since ours have lived so long. One had dementia for the last two years of her life, and suffered with allergies. Her care was 24/7.
At this time, we have one dog; Hunter-a Border Collie mix, who we treat for asthma using herbal tinctures and homeopathic remedies. He is 14. We just put our female Black Lab (who was 16) to rest. Hunter is used to having other dogs dogs around and is lonely.
I walk our boy daily, weather permitting. We have a big back yard with grass and some shade. I will also walk your baby and brush him or her afterwards. Your love will be free to run in and out and take naps inside.
I have taken care of friends pets from time to time when they would go out of town. Also, I have found many dogs who have taken off on an adventure for the day away from their homes. I would keep them in our back yard or inside until their owners were found. I have usually been fortunate in finding their owners. Some were actually abandoned in the BLM land near our home, which I was successful in finding homes for. One I did not. That is our boy Hunter. I put his picture up and called the SPCA and local vets with his information. No one claimed this boy, who turned out to be our little blessing. Our Black Labs loved him too.
I would love to take care of your love in our home for the day while you work or overnight if you need to get away.
