Hired Flavia and she quit with no notice. We interviewed her several times to make sure she got to know our children and the dynamics of our household. We would not have rated her, but wanted families to beware that she’s not reliable. We went over the dates we would need her for childcare and confirmed them several times. She worked a few days and quit only for us to have to scramble to find someone to cover the dates she confirmed. When you hire her, just know she prefers a “boutique” job where there’s not much work involved. We would call home to check on our children, only to find our 1 year old always being taken care of by our 12 year old. She will convince you that she’s perfect for the job and will later flake out and leave you scrambling at the last minute. We had a trip planned in 1 week from the time she quit. She knew this and had previously confirmed these dates. We had to cancel the trip because we couldn’t find childcare in time. We passed up several other people that we could have hired, but she assured us things would work. Knowing this, she didn’t even give us notice enough to allow us to find someone else.
