The Skinny: Hello! I am a gainfully employed, late twenties female looking to employ my love for animals to help others out who may be in need for a petsitter. Local references available.

SERVICES: I will feed, walk, play, administer medication, groom, and keep your pet company as well as any additional needs. I have the most experience with cats and dogs. I am no stranger to the litter box, to "accidents", or pretty much anything an animal can throw my way.   My cat has barfed IN my bed and had an accident all over himself in his carrier at the airport from anxiety - I can handle anything.

Additional Information: I grew up in Georgia with a dog (Bichon) and cat (Cornish Rex) as a child, both of which I was responsible for helping with the care. I got my own dog, a standard poodle, when I was 13 who up until early April 2013 was still one of the loves of my life.  Maggie just left us when she suddenly developed a very intense case of bloat. I was lucky enough to have seen her the month before.  She went peacefully without pain and with love all around her, with me on the phone 800+ miles away.

I have experience with other people's animals as well with everything from Chihuahuas and toy poodles to huskies and hamsters. Over the years I have also assisted my mother with her hobby of fostering abandoned baby kittens as young as 2.5 weeks, caring for them and acclimating them to people and dogs. She has fostered over 30, and of her once feral babies now have loving homes!

At various points in my childhood we had everything from fresh water fish, hamsters, a lizard, tadpoles, a bird, and even a turtle that we temporarily saved from the road (plus the neighbors goats and chickens behind our house!), so I have quite a bit of experience with different types of critters!

I now have a pet cat (Russian Blue mix) and a dog (German Shepherd mix), both of which we adopted from local rescue groups. Both pets had medical conditions when I received them, so I am very familiar and comfortable with administering medication and just general TLC.
