I take a different approach to grooming and kenneling. I allow the pet to run the show, if they need a break, they get one, if they are distracted by a smell or another dog, they get to go and check it out, then we get back to work.
When I am providing kenneling or pet care, you decide every minute of every schedule, however, when I am providing grooming services your pet decides. I was trained to complete most grooms in one hour and 30 minutes. As soon as I was done with my training, I never attempted to complete a full groom in one hour an 30 min again. I don't think its logical to take a dog out of his comfort zone and then drop him off at a strange place, and then force him to stand in one spot continuously for 90 minutes. We always take breaks.
