Hi there! My name is Meg and I am an empathetic and kind individual looking for some part time hours caring for your pet!

I presently work for a reforestation nonprofit full time remotely as a global project specialist, and am excited about this role as it encompasses my personal passion toward the environment and sustainability. Prior to this, I am a recent graduate of Penn State University. I excelled throughout my lower and upper level education, receiving Dean's List most semesters and a cumulative GPA of 3.7.

While I don't hold much professional experience in pet care, I have lived in and cared for a house full of pets my entire life. We have 4 cats, 1 dog and 25 turtles currently- but have also had guinea pigs, frogs, salamanders and more over the years! Despite the lack of professional pet sitting experience, I believe you'll find my resume reflects my responsibility, professionalism and loving personality that will enable me to be an excellent pet sitter.

Prior to college, I worked as a Lifeguard, then Lead Lifeguard, for 4+ years. In that role, I cultivated advanced surveillance abilities, attentiveness and CPR, AED and First Aid training. While at PennState, I was a Resident Assistant, overseeing 100+ students a semester and serving as a conflict mediator, personal and academic resource, community builder and above all else, a role model to ensure everyone had a safe and positive experience in and outside of the residence halls. I also served as Secretary for Sunny State, a student-led organization dedicated to spreading kindness through volunteering, partnering with non-profits such as Habitat for Humanity and the Pregnancy Resource Clinic (both located in State College, PA). As secretary, I fostered membership through serving as club liaison, organizing and hosting recruiting events and serving as main point of contact for questions and concerns.

Overall, I consider myself an empathic leader. I develop deep connections and have superb communication and community building skills that I believe will transfer well into a role as a pet sitter. I am also caring and compassionate and a very good listener- even with pets! I hope to be able to showcase these traits with your beloved pet and help take care of them.
