Nina, hi.
My name is Paula and I am very interested in pet sitting for your furry child while you are away. I am neither licensed nor bonded, but am an avid lover of animals and an advocate for them. I had an adored!!!! yellow lab, Michael, who was with me for 3 weeks shy of his 14th birthday. What a privilege it was to know and share life with this wonderful, amazing boy. I shall love and miss him always. I now live with a sweet, sweet golden retriever named Rylan who is 3 years old and precious. I know only too well how challenging it can be to leave our pets. When my husband & I first moved to Lancaster from Long Island in 1998, I found myself on my way back to the Island only moments after the movers had closed the door behind them. My beloved Mother had just been taken to a hospital. Upon recommendations, I chose to leave Mikey at an established kennel here in Lancaster. Never!!! Never again!!!! I shall not bore you with details, but suffice it to say (write) it was beyond horrific. Thankfully my darling boy survived his ordeal although the memory of it lingers with me still. I vowed never to leave my pet again...although in reality that is not always possible. And that is why I am writing to you now. I can promise you that your pup would receive the very same nurturing care that Rylan receives each day. His safety and well-being are paramount and his happiness my goal. Rylan is not even given stuffed toys to play with until they have gone through the wash/dry to ensure that he is not exposed to chemicals.
After having spent many years as an ER nurse in NY, I worked at PETS as their very first receptionist upon moving to the area.
