My girlfriend and I moved in together last October and with us came her dog. The dog was still a puppy and was used to the big backyard and suburbs. He didn't want to go outside at all (especially for the bathroom) and he was not trained to do much but sit.
I ended up spending every day working on how to be a dog owner and trainer through countless Youtube videos and patience. 8 months later he lifts his leg, uses the bathroom every walk, sits, stays, spins, barks, fetches, jumps, rolls over, and even dances. It's amazing what can happen with some time and work.
