Hello! My name is Sarah. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and I currently work as a Case Manager at Smoky Mountain Children's Home providing services for at risk youth. When my husband and I moved back to TN I was offered 2 positions at Young-Williams Animal Center - Adoption Coordinator and Intake Specialist but was unable to start due to already accepting another position.
I have worked with animals my entire life, starting at age 14 (my first job was at a groomer)! I have 2 dogs of my own that are the love of my life. I got my first dog when I was 5 and she stayed with me until I turned 18. My dog has always been my best friend and confidant. I am very knowledgeable in the emotional and medical care of animals, particularly canines.
I can provide emergency medical treatment for canines, including CPR, treatment for minor injuries, hypo/hyperthermia, insect stings, etc. I am familiar with a variety of training techniques and am comfortable with animals with various behavioral needs. I do not have any reservations about high energy animals or any canine breeds. I am willing to travel, have reliable transportation and am free on weekends.
