Hello!
My name is Imelda, nice to meet you!
Animals have always been a big part of my life… I got my first pet at 6 years old and he was a rabbit. I can’t remember a single year I didn’t have a pet, they’re like family to me.
In my early 20s (I’m 24, lol), I decided to give fate a chance and got hired at a nonprofit animal shelter as an intake receptionist.
I fell in love with the animal welfare field and wanted to dip my toes into the medical side… after two years of being at the front line of intakes at the shelter, I transitioned to the medical side as a veterinary technician! It felt like I found my dream career and got so inspired by this position, I decided to further my education and am currently on track to get my technician license through Weatherford College.

The skills I can provide for you and your pet are walks, proper feeding, bathing, medicating if needed (orally and injecting, if the pet allow to safely), picking up poop and communicating if anything seems a little odd, basic training for dogs like “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “come” and I’m even trying to train my kitten!
He’s mastered the “sit” command like a pro!
I am really good at observing behaviors and if anything is of concern, you can trust that I will let you know!
