Hello, my name is Shannon Taylor and I am very interested in the Pet Sitter Position you recently posted on Sittercity and would like the opportunity to interview for the position!
About Myself:
My friends describe me as a kind-hearted person who genuinely cares about the world around us and the people and animals that surround one another daily. I am a fierce animal lover and the kind of person who will pick up strays, pull over just to save a turtle from being run over in the street, and cry much too often when I see commercials where animals have been abused or mistreated; I love all kinds of animals and take their well being and the attachment their owners' have to them very seriously!
I have two dogs...Maggie (aka: Fat Momma) and Daisy (aka: Chunky Monkey). Maggie is 17 years old and has had one litter her entire life (a stray I picked up Christmas Eve did the honors!). Maggie had 4 puppies; Daisy was the runt of the litter and I fell in love with her instantly! They both mean the world to me and I love them dearly, so I understand how important it is to find that "special person" to be take care of your pet!
I am also a highly motivated, creative, and goal oriented professional with 12 years of experience as a First and Second Grade Teacher. I have always been very passionate about teaching children, being a positive role model, and creating lasting relationships with the people I meet. I take great pride in contributing to the future through the education of children and teaching them right from wrong....being honest and trustworthy, taking pride in everything you do, respecting others, and protecting and caring for ALL living things...are just some of my values I truly believe in and the code I choose to live my life by!
Educationally, I hold an Associate of Arts Degree, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Academic Studies, and a Master of Arts Degree in Behavioral Science. My commitments to education, academic excellence, and community leadership and performance, are represented on The National Dean’s List; an annual publication honoring students for achieving 4.0 GPA"s, as well as recognizing institutions and organizations for maintaining exceptionally high standards.
