While being a Professional Nanny for many years most of my families all have had pets and so I have helped out if they needed to travel and leave pets at home. 

Sometimes I would stay there and sometimes I would have times of the day to make sure all needs of your pet were met and no accidents happened plus that your member of the family was content with lots of love and attention. I can't see boarding a pet when you have caring and loving people such as me to make sure that your house is safe and looks lived in or I can check - in instead of staying over. I am flexible to your needs! I can now board your family member at my place for short term visits, but would have to be caged if I had to leave since that is for safety.
