Growing up my family and I have always had pets in the house; dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and birds of all species. Now as an adult, I have 3 dogs of my own and a number of birds that I care for. While living in NY, I worked for 6 months as a pet sitter and dog walker in the city. Here in Texas I volunteer at the PAWS animal shelter and continue to walk dogs for local neighbors.
