We had Beka out for a trial date on Monday with the assumption that if everything went well we had another 14 days we would need her for, including the rest of that week. After our phone conversation everything sounded like a great fit. While the trial day sounded like it went well from my perspective she ultimately indicated she struggled managing our 2 young children with the age gap of a 3YO and 6YO between both of them wanting her attention and occasionally getting upset with each other when they both couldn’t have it. When it’s just me alone with the kids that’s my every day and all my other sitters have been able to manage that so I’m not sure why it was so difficult this time but sometimes there just isn’t a fit. If you are a one child household Beka will likely be a great fit for you. If you have more than one child I’d recommend a trial date with a gap before when you need her in case it doesn’t work out so you aren’t stuck having to call out of work the rest of the week because you lost the sitter you assumed you had.
