Howdy! My name is Monic Hunsberger and I’m a NAPPS Certified Professional Pet Sitter living in Ashburn, VA with my two dogs (Bailey and Hodor) and two cats (Chester and Lily).

I’ve grown up with animals my entire life. Starting out with family cats, dogs, hamsters and fish, I later fell in love with exotic animals such as snakes, birds and frogs after volunteering at the Brazos Valley Animal Shelter (now Aggieland Humane Society) and Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital in college.

After spending nearly a decade in a career within academia, I decided to go back to my roots, pursue my passion of pet care, and start Monic's Pet Services. When I realized I could blend my love of animals with my love of education, I knew I’d found my true calling! I’m now currently studying to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) with the Karen Pryor Academy. I can’t wait to help strengthen the bonds between owners and their pets.

I'm certified in Pet CPR/First Aid and a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and Pet Sitters International (PSI). I’m also licensed, bonded, insured, and have a 3rd party background check on file. Your peace of mind and the safety of your pets is important to me!
