Hello! My name is Stephan and I'm an avid pet lover!

I graduated from undergrad in 2022, and am now a post-graduate student! Although I don't technically have "paid" experience taking care of pets, I do have experience taking care of my family/friend's children (dogs) over the years.

In addition, I have 11 years raising my own pet parakeets and a good 4 years taking care of geckos. I also have 5 years volunteering for children with special needs through a local group called Good Neighbor.

Before deciding to pursue more school, I was at a corporate-immigration law firm in Reston handling cases from clients ranging from small companies to household name giants. I was set on applying to law school after undergrad, but ultimately realized it wasn't for me. My experience at the firm really engrained in me the necessity of effective and prompt communication (skills which allow me to be a more efficient and trustworthy caregiver).

I resigned in May 2025, and I want to fill my free time doing something that feels more meaningful to me (playing with animals).

My schedule is much more open now that I am a student, and am more flexible. My classes are also asynchronous so I have much more freedom in regard how I structure my days, which is a definite plus towards taking care of an animal.
