We hired Shakirra a few times and it worked out nicely. My son seemed to get along well with her and she was attentive to him. But she never showed up when we made arrangements later. Asked her if all was ok, she said she was not available on the day of and at the time she was supposed to show up. No warning or anything. We work in DC and we were late to work. Then we confirmed for the next time for her to arrive early to care for our son and she never showed up. We didnt get a message until I wrote her. Her mother texted us back and said she wasnt well. WE were late once again to work. So we are very disappointed. As this happened twice. Any caregiver needs to be responsible and let parents know ahead of time. As we pay for a service in hopes to get care. She would have been great if she was upfront and said she wasn't interested in caring for our son.
