Last year, my son - a senior in marine biology at UW - asked if I would fill in dog sitting for him at house in Kingston where he often takes care of two German Shepherds. I enjoyed it so much, it's become a monthly event.

As a kid, we always had both cats and dogs, but since my wife and I hike and travel a fair bit, we don't have any pets. But now that the kids are all grown up, I realize that dog sitting is a lot like watching grandkids!

By day I am an IT programmer; by night, I am a screenwriter. In addition to writing my own material, I often mentor new screenwriters, teach classes, work as a script consultant, and serve on the Board of the Northwest Screenwriter's Guild.
