I love working with pets because I grew up on a farm that was filled with cats, dogs, and other animals. They provide so much love and enjoyment and each one is truly special. I enjoy how each pet has a different personality and offers an unconditional connection. In addition, it is a great way to get enjoyable exercise and offers one to learn more about non-verbal communication. Lastly, pets provide an established routine which I value and increases responsibility which is important in everyday life.
I have pet sat overnight (about a week every year) for 3-4 summers for 2 dogs that needed oral medication daily. In addition, I grew up on a farm so before my dog passed, I was in charge of care taking and training the Yorkie Poo. Lastly, my roommate has a 2-year old Blue Heeler and when she is out of town I care for the dog or any opportunity I get to.
My skills consist of communication, knowing the basic animal care, ability to train dogs, reliability, safety awareness, and providing a loving and nurturing environment.
