Hello! My name is Shannon. I am married and a mother of 2 daughters 17 and 20, and I have 3 dogs and 2 cats! I have been in childcare for most of my life. Over 28 years! I have worked with ages Infant to teens and the Infant, Toddler stage is definitely one of the most exciting to be a part of. I started out working as an Infant and Toddler teacher at Kindercare, moved into nannying and then had the pleasure of owning and operating my own successful, licensed home daycare for over 10 years while my daughters were younger. I loved every moment but as my children grew older they needed their space back and knew it was time to say goodbye to my business. I went back to nannying and really enjoy being back. My last job was wonderful but unfortunately due to covid, we had Read more to separate. I have been home caring for my home, family and senior dogs. My youngest daughter is hearing impaired and has some learning disabilities but she is doing so well and on her way! I feel confident to step back out into the childcare field for ( 30 hours or less). Part time is more flexible to still have time to work with my daughter. I have an abundance of Infant-preschool experience: food prep and cooking, bathing, diaper changing, cleaning, arts and crafts, musical play, transportation to activities, involvement with gym and music classes, pet care and more. I have experience working alongside Birth-3 programs as well and I am willing to get recertified for first aid and cpr if needed. My favorite activities mostly involve being outside, walking and hiking with my family and our dogs, picnics at the park and when inside, love arts and crafts, reading and moving to music, a good book or movie. I am energic, playful, fun, reliable and trustworthy. I am a pet friendly sitter too! The more, the merrier. I would love the opportunity to meet your family! 😊
