Payton had applied for our 3 days a week posting. She provided an amazing phone & in-person interview that made us excited for her to start. During her in-person interview, she even asked if she could work 5 days a week, which we agreed. Originally, she was suppose to start on a Friday per her request. That Friday came and she called in sick. Understandable. On Sunday, we reached out to Payton to confirm that she was starting on Monday. No response. Just in case, we asked a family friend to be available. I'm glad we did. Monday came, no response, no show, just ghosted. This is completely unacceptable behavior. When you hire someone and rely on them to be here and they just completely ghost you. We would have even accepted a "hey sorry, I can't accept this job anymore," but we got nothing.
