Looking for baby sitting/respite care from time to time (usually evenings, weekends and during school holidays) for our 9-year old daughter with Rett Syndrome. She is non-verbal (uses an AAC speech device), has no functional hand-use and is mobile only with assistance. Needs help with feeding (by mouth, not g-tube) and toileting. Some assistance with administering medication may be required. No behavioral issues and she is a relatively happy child. Special needs experience required, but we will train you with regards to specific needs and tasks. Mostly just need help at our home in Echo Park, but with time may include outings/play-dates or one-on-one support at summer camp.
