Our seven-year-old is 1 1/2 years out of a hemorrhagic stroke and a six month hospital/rehab stay. We are looking for help caring for him. The ideal person will bring positive energy and read him stories or lessons, give puréed food through a G-tube, change diapers, do his laundry, reposition him in bed, console him if agitated, and lift and move him from bed to wheelchair. A parent will usually be at home (doing remote work) or nearby running errands. Hours are flexible, but we are looking for 3-6 morning hours per day (such as 730a -1pm), for 4 weekdays per week. Longer hours can also be a considered if desired for the right person.
