Hi Families! I’m Bre (pronounced Br-ee). I am originally from California but my career as a nanny has moved me to various states including Hawaii, Colorado and now Alabama! I have been a career nanny 9 years but have worked with children for 15 years. I have worked with children ages 1month old - 14 years old. The amount of children I have been responsible for watching at one time is 5 (between ages 8 months & 11 years old). I am big on limiting screen time with children I watch and encourage crafts or other creative activities to assist with their development. I also enjoy making the family’s life easier by managing day to day household work, running errands like grocery shopping & assisting with travel plans or other personal tasks.

My husband and I are "empty nesters". I miss the joy and fun of being around children. I was a nanny throughout college and currently sit for friend and family when needed. I am considered the "fun aunt" by my nieces and nephews.

Hi, I am Jenna Winter! I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies in May and now I am at the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursing a doctoral degree in occupational therapy. I have babysat, worked as a camp counselor, and was an assistant preschool teacher at Auburn Day School where I have gotten the opportunity to work with children of various ages! I love being a sitter because caring for children comes naturally to me, and I enjoy creating a calm, safe, and fun environment for them. You can call me and ask me if I am available to babysit when you need some time to yourself. I have 2 yr, 7 yr, 9 yr olds. I also do delivery food driving, so if I’m dropping off kids, picking up kids, or delivering food I may not be available. You’ll have better luck if you ask me a couple of weeks in advance, but I don’t mind short notice if I’m available. I may or may not need to bring a kid or a few kids with me.

Hii I’m Britt and I’ve been looking after children since I was 13. I used to cook for me and my cousins because we had no one at home to do it due to work, which also led to my passion for cooking so I’m very experienced with cooking and meal prepping for myself and the little ones. Fast forwarding a couple of years after Covid my mom worked at an after school care , not too far from our home and she ended up taking me on a couple months after she got on due to her health conditions stopping her from being able to perform most of her normal duties so I would go to work with her and I will help the kids with homework. I would even look up worksheets and activities for them to do and bring them to the school the next day. I would bring snacks for them on the weekends if they did go throughout the week and I would teach them basic skills that they should be learning at school as far as manners numbers, spelling , kindness with others and things in that area. Fast forward a couple of more years my godmother had an autistic baby boy so he comes around the family a lot and I’ve been introduced to that area of childcare more so I know how to communicate with him when he needs certain things, I know how to engage in patience and understanding with him when he’s not doing his best and I know how to tolerate certain behaviors and talk them through working through better coping mechanisms or resolutions in that moment. I spent most of my life helping people and taking care of other people so I do have a good bit of experience when it comes to taking care of children and taking care of houses so if I do get the opportunity to be a part of your family and taking care of them I thank you for the opportunity and you will not be let down.

I am a retired Neuro intensive care trauma nurse. I have two older children. I have studied child psychology for several years with the aid of a leading child psychologist in Huntsville Al. I love children and fully believe that an active, imaginative and creative childhood will lead to a successful adulthood.
