Hi! My name is Debora Rocha and I’m an international student from Brazil. I came to the US in 2019 to start nursing school and pursue my dream of being a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. I don’t have any paid experience as a nanny but what motivated me to become a nurse and work with babies is the fact that I took care of my nice since she was born. When she was born in 2017, her mom was severely depressed and I had to take care of her in every sense. I bathed her for the first time when she was just hours old, I changed her, fed her and did everything that I had to do. I kept taking care of her for 2 years until I moved here, and I basically lived in my uncle’s house.
