My name is Brenda, and I just recently went through a life changing event and am looking to go back to childcare one a part time or short notice basis. I had the pleasure to help raise two exceptional boys during my 20's and early 30's from the time the oldest was 4 months until he was 15, the youngest being 13. I would not trade that time in for anything. Once they were old enough to be in school, I got a full time job, but would pick them up from after school, help them with homework, make dinner and put them to sleep. I love those boys with all my heart, and they are still in my life to this day. From 2005 to 2010 I worked for a company called REM Wisconsin. There, I was a Direct Care Specialist and took care of adults with developmental disabilities. Read more That was a very challenging but highly rewarding job. I made the decision to move to Alabama in 2010. Saying good by to my clients was very difficult. They will remain in my heart and I think of them often. When I arrived in Alabama in August 2010, I got a job with Homecare Companies. I was a caregiver with them until 2014. It became too difficult to care for the aging. I am a very empathetic person and care deeply. After the passing of a few clients, I decided it was time for me to move on. I am a kid at heart, but very responsible. I take caring for others very seriously, and will focus 100% attention on your child. If you have pets, that's an added bonus for me! I love animals of all kinds!! Thank you for your consideration.
