My first experience taking care of children was for a company I volunteered for in Scotland called RDA. It was a non profit organization that used horse riding to help mentally and physically disabled children practice their motor and verbal skills. This was the start of my career with children. After that, I volunteered at the Nha Trang city orphanage and the local Buddhist temple in Vietnam where I managed to take care of multiple children despite not speaking Vietnamese. It was definitely an eye opening experience and I feel that I learned a lot about child care. Then, in America I had a string of nannying jobs with children of all ages, (2-9 years old). I love taking care of children. My favorite part of the job is teaching kids something new everyday. For example, while painting with three kids, we ran out of purple paint. They started getting Read more upset, until I showed them how to make purple out of red and blue. It's unbelievable how much that amazed them, it made them want to know every new color you could make from the ones you had.
