A Little About Me: My family moved here from Kansas 8 years ago and I've been happy to call Arkansas home ever since. Free time is usually spent at the dog park, going for walks on the trails, baking or playing music with family and friends. Experience: I have 7 years of personal experience caring for friends children around ages 1 to 7 as well as 4 1/2 years spent looking after my youngest sister who has special needs. Professionally I have 2 1/2 years of experience working as a teacher in a preschool setting. While there I was caring for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age who were typical functioning, had physical mental or developmental delays or behavioral delays. Responsibilities included feeding, changing/potty training, put children down for nap, administering medications ect. Things I Find Important: Consistent weekly routine, Daily exercise and outside time, Healthy eating Read more choices, Documented bathroom, feeding and nap times as well as communication between parents and myself. Arts and crafts, music, reading along with outside play are my favorite ways to interact and engage the children.
