Meet Jamisyn

• Comfortable with pets

As a new sitter, I started out with family! I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating a space where they feel safe, happy, and supported while also having fun and being themselves. Even though I’m newer, I’ve always naturally gravitated toward kids and enjoy being someone they can feel comfortable with. I bring a lot of patience, energy, and creativity into how I interact with children, whether that’s helping with activities, playing games, or just being a calm and positive presence. I really value being able to build trust with both kids and families, and I take pride in making sure children feel cared for and understood while their parents feel at ease. I’m currently an Early Childhood Education major at Pulaski Technical College, which is something I’m very passionate about because I plan to build my future working with children. Also, I've worked and still continue to work with the City of North Little Rock as a Summer Aid for their Summer Camp Program for 4 years (ages 5-12). On top of that, I choreograph at NLRHS (North Little Rock Highschool) for their Dance Troupe Program! I love learning how kids think and grow, and I enjoy applying what I’m learning in real-life situations. My experience comes from a mix of working with children through youth programs, being involved in dance, and helping care for younger family members over the years. Dance especially has played a big role in shaping my ability to work with kids, since it taught me how to engage with them in structured but fun environments while still being encouraging, patient, and motivating. I’ve learned how to manage groups of children, keep them focused, and make activities enjoyable while maintaining a sense of order. I also have experience in customer service and leadership roles, which have strengthened my communication skills, responsibility, and ability to stay calm and handle situations thoughtfully. I would describe myself as dependable, patient, and very attentive when it comes to children. I enjoy being hands-on, staying engaged, and making sure kids feel comfortable and supported in whatever they’re doing. I take caring for children seriously, but I also love making it fun and positive so they can enjoy their time and feel safe at the same time!
