Hello! My name is Andrew. I am currently a student at the University of Arizona studying Environmental Science. I have two 8-year-old cousins who I love more than anything, and I have a love for childcare and youth development. I have years of experience working at YMCA locations and YMCA summer camps, having spent countless months surrounded by children 24/7. I love Environmental Science, but my truest passion is working with kids. Although childcare is one of the most difficult and draining jobs out there, I find it to be the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. Above all, working with kids is often some of the most fun you can have. Returning to my summer camp year over year and having kids from previous years run up to you and hug you makes the worst of the worst days worth it. My interests include hiking, camping, boxing and Read more Muay Thai, fitness and nutrition, digital art, music and guitar, political and environmental activism, and foraging for wild mushrooms. After undergrad, I plan to work as a soil scientist (believe it or not dirt is actually really interesting, I swear), save money and build my resume so that I can apply for a PhD program. My ultimate goal is to become a researcher focused on community resilience and public health, specifically focused on access to clean water and nutritious food in underprivileged communities. Having myself trained and managed counselors and childcare workers, you can be sure that your child is in safe and experienced hands. As your babysitter, I will provide the highest standard of care to your child, while also having tons of fun with them. I expect to graduate in may 2024, and as a high performing STEM student with instruction experience I can also help your child in an educational capacity, whether that simply means getting them to do their homework or fully fledged tutoring.
