My mother ran a private daycare in our home when I was younger, and I got my start with her. I helped in my church's infants and toddlers daycare for four years starting when I was 12. I have nannied for a pre-k boy, two young girls, and currently nanny for a now 2.5yr old. With my previous family with the two girls, one of the girls was diagnosed with cancer and was declared cancer free in my time with them, which was so wonderful to experience with the family. I have experience with potty training and teaching basic skills for school, such as: letters, colors, numbers, shapes, reading, and more. I have nephews and nieces whom I helped care for when they were young. I helped care for my friend's 7-month-old every day when she was at work until he was 1 year old. I have some college regarding Read more to Early Childhood Development. I know how to feed, change, bathe, and clothe an infant and toddler. I always interact with the children I care for rather than have them sit in front of the TV. I do light cleaning including: picking up toys, dishes, and countertops. If I'm full time, I do laundry and any household tidying up to keep the home neat, as well. I always make sure to read whatever instruction is left for me by the parents and follow through with said instructions. I've always loved children and knew I wanted to work with them since I can remember. Pets are never an issue and are always a plus for me since I love them as much as kids. I have an almost 3 year old daughter, whom I currently bring to work with me and provide all of the necessities for and would need to continue bringing her for the next year.
