Aloha Families! My name is Megan but my friends call me Meg :) I am 29 years old and am very interested in being your childcare provider. I have 10+ years experience which include being a nanny, au pair in Italy and Australia, preschool teacher, and substitute teaching at an elementary school. Most of my experience is with children under 5, as well as being the lead infant teacher at one of my previous preschools. My most recent employment was this past school year, Aug 2022-May 2023 as the lead preschool teacher at a Montessori homeschool on the island of Kaua'i. I was also the nanny for a family on the island of Oahu for a year. Their baby girl was 7 weeks old when I started. I love doing activities that children will find entertaining and fun as well as focusing on their development; socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Read more I have a positive and pleasing personality that encourages children to explore everything around them. I have a high level of patience with immense love, compassion and respect for children. Additionally, when it comes to screen time, I like to keep it at a bare minimum, if any. I am usually enough entertainment to keep a child engaged the whole day LOL :) Childcare is something I love doing because everyday is different and new and it's amazing being part of a child learning, growing, and developing as a person. Being able to witness those "light bulb moments" is one of my favorite parts about hanging out with the kiddies all day. I have CPR/FA certification August 2022, and I am a non smoker. My hobbies include: Acro yoga, fire dancing, hiking, swimming, climbing trees, hammocking, reading, henna, and just being outside in nature as much as possible.
