I have given service to children as a volunteer in orphanages and 3 Mexican children from Mexico were raised in my home, in addition to my own 6 children. I recently served a mission for my church in Colombia, South America (and therefore fluent in Spanish although of Irish descent). I have never been a paid babysitter or nanny, but I know that as a grandmother of 31 I am more qualified than most. I dearly love children and know the future of the world depends on them. I am a reader and believer in education, am a lover of good music and art. Patience and being easy-going goes a long way in caring for children, but I believe there must also be order and routine in a child's life and of course lots of love, and laughter! I am a faith based person but not fanatical and respect persons of all beliefs. I am presently in a situation where I need to work after being retired and traveling the world for the past 20 years. I am very healthy and active and owned my own business for 20 years, but with no desire to return to the work world. I just want to contribute to the lives of children.
