About me: Hi, I am a stay-at-home foster mom to one child, a sweet 2 year old girl. I'd like to bring in a little income as well as some new social experiences for my daughter, by occasional or regular babysitting. Experience: I started babysitting 19 years ago, and have loved spending time with children for my entire life. I taught preschool for 2 years, briefly worked in a daycare before realizing I didn't enjoy that setting, and then was a full time nanny for 9 years before becoming a licensed foster parent. In those capacities I've cared for children ranging in age from 2 weeks to 8 years old, including premature infants and children with a variety of minor health and behavioral concerns. Education: I have a bachelor degree in Communication, and several credits of coursework in early childhood development. I have completed extensive training to become a foster Read more parent, as well as self-education in the fields of attachment theory, trauma-informed parenting, and gentle parenting methods. Safety: I am well-informed on matters of child safety, especially focused on car seat safety and safe sleep practices. As a licensed foster home, my house is inspected monthly to ensure it is free of hazards. I am CPR certified, have a fingerprint card, and am willing to do further background checks if requested.
